NY Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw topped 100 yards rushing en route to a 3 TD day to propel the Giants in their win over the more-talented Buffalo Bills. Bradshaw’s effort was the kind of individual performance I’m looking for in these weekly MVP-type awards because Bradshaw literally caused the Giants to win. There is no reason to believe that they win that game without him.
Congrats to Bradshaw on a great performance!!
(1) 1. Green Bay Packers (6-0)
Add the Rams to the list of the defeated.
(3) 2. New England Patriots (5-1)
Lookin good as it appears they really do have a run game.
(6) 3. Baltimore Ravens (4-1)
They beat the team with the most hype. I’m not saying the Texans are bad, but wow do they get the love.
(2) 4. New Orleans Saints (4-2)
The Bucs showed up.
(7) 5. San Francisco 49ers (5-1)
If they just wouldn’t have lost that overtime game to the Cowboys….
(4) 6. Detriot Lions (5-1)
When you lose, you want to see signs of fighting hard to the end. They fought so hard that their coach decided to “fight” too.
(5) 7. Oakland Raiders (4-2)
This Carson Palmer thing may not be a good idea….and they gave up a plethora of draft picks. I just happened to find 6 teams I thought were better. The loss of Jason Campbell at QB is really the only reason to drop them, but this isn’t a projection so it wasn’t a factor.
(9) 8. Chicago Bears (3-3)
The best team that won’t make the playoffs. It’s unfortunate.
(10) 9. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)
Roughly 55 yards of offense in the second half? That’s not dominant by a supposed top offense. No wonder they lost the Super Bowl.
(11) 10. Tennessee Titans (3-2)
BYE Week.
(12) 11. San Diego Chargers (4-1)
BYE Week.
(7) 12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2)
They’ll be great next year but the year before it happens you have to watch inconsistency at it’s finest. Welcome to the 2011 Bucs.
(16) 13. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2)
Andy “Clutch Cassidy” Dalton delivers again. The Bengals will be really good in about 3 years, if their draft picks come through until then.
(20) 14. New York Giants (4-2)
They’ll probably drop again next week. This team has somehow gotten to 4-2 and I don’t understand how will keep it up moving forward. That loss to the Seahawks threw me off, the game should’ve never been that close. Good win over a good Bills team, though.
(17) 15. Buffalo Bills (4-2)
I think this team will be either almost good or the surprise of the playoffs.
(5) 16. Houston Texans (3-3)
They should’ve never been ranked top-10. I apologize.
(14) 17. Atlanta Falcons (3-3)
After being an absolutely great team last year, they might not make the playoffs in 2011. How about that?
(19) 18. Cleveland Browns (2-3)
When they lose, they play you close and that says a lot. This is another team that will probably play well next year.
(18) 19. Dallas Cowboys (2-3)
The Patriots are a better team, that’s all.
(20) 20. Washington Redskins (3-2)
I’m absolutely disgusted that the staff would bench Grossman after one bad game. I’m not a fan of Grossman but you don’t do that to a player.
(21) 21. Kansas City Chiefs (2-3)
BYE Week.
(22) 22. Seattle Seahawks (2-3)
BYE Week. I’m looking forward to watching Charlie Whitehurst….really.
(23) 23. Carolina Panthers (1-5)
The Falcons dominated them. Newton now has more interceptions (9) than touchdowns (7).
(24) 24. New York Jets (2-3)
After beating a team that has yet to win a game this year, QB Mark Sanchez declares that “they’re back”. Really? I think not.
(25) 25. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)
Their defense was brutal, and I mean absolutely brutal to the Steelers in the second half. Too bad they have no passing game. This team looks weak in a weak division.
(27) 26. Philadelphia Eagles (2-4)
I really don’t think that they’re any better than the Redskins, whom they beat. A lot of media pundits have declared that this is the spark the Eagles needed. I disagree, this team is in the gutter a few more weeks. They only won by 7 after Grossman threw 4 INT’s. I’m not impressed enough to believe in them.
(25) 27. Arizona Cardinals (1-5)
BYE Week.
(29) 28. Indianapolis Colts (0-6)
The Bengals defense is just a better unit. When the team is built to play ahead and has to play from behind, it doesn’t work. The Colts may finally invest in a top-flight DT next year.
(32) 29. Minnesota Vikings (1-5)
At least the Colts are largely competitive in their losses. McNabb wasn’t bad and that’s the bad part. He’s now benched, but I’m curious about Ponder. We will see.
(31) 30. Denver Broncos (1-4)
Tebow just sold out the Dolphins stadium…..
(30) 31. St. Louis Rams (0-5)
They played the Pack, can you really blame them for losing?
(29) 32. Miami Dolphins (0-6)
I’m not moving them up.
