Recapping today’s important games for Tennessee Titans
By Will Lomas
Earlier today I posted which games the Tennessee Titans should really be watching and worrying about.
If you have seen my post (here) you know that I ranked these games in order of importance to the Titans. Some have to do with playoff hopes, other have to do with the draft and some deal with both.
So here are the top-6 games for the Titans today and their results.
1. Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars
The Texans and the Jaguars did everything they could to give up this game, but in the end Houston came away with a victory. That is not what we wanted, we wanted the Jaguars to win for draft purposes and to really put the Texans behind the 8-ball.
Now the Titans need to win out to win the AFC South, matter what happens next week.

2. New England Patriots at Denver Broncos
This one went the Titans way. Tennessee really wanted the Patriots to win, and they want them to finish the season without another loss too if they can help it.
This game in particular is huge because if the Titans can stay even with the Broncos in the win column, then they have the tiebreaker advantage heading into the playoffs.
3. Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Another dud for the Titans. The Jets failed miserably in their attempt to show up for the game, and judging by some of the snapchats of their players, don’t expect them to catch fire any time soon.

4. LA Rams at Seattle Seahawks
Another one for the good guys here, the Rams ended up with another loss. This pick may be the key to the Tennessee Titans future, so no matter what Titans fans should want the Rams to lose.
5. Philadelphia Eagles at Baltimore Ravens
Ugh. The Eagles continue to shoot themselves in the foot. In a position to tie up the game, the Eagles decided to go for two.
That is fine if your defense has been doing well all day, but in a game that nearly topped 60 total points you just don’t make that call.

6. Cleveland Browns at Buffalo Bills
This one went the wrong way too, but I think the Bills have been eliminated from the playoffs anyway so I am not sure it matters. Still, it would have been nice to see them lose and come out mad and trying to prove something against the Miami Dolphins next week.
Still, this rushing game should give the Dolphins some fits which should be great for the Titans.
