Who Do the Tennessee Titans Take With the 20th Pick?

The Tennessee Titans seem just a few players away from being a serious contender in the NFL. Last year they fell just short of the playoffs and will certainly be making a good push to make it this upcoming season. The Titans will be returning most of their starters on each side of the ball, minus DL Jason Jones, CB Cortland Finnegan, and OG Jake Scott.

The Titans biggest hole headed into free agency was easily DE. Jason Jones failed to produce in his move to DE and Derrick Morgan struggled a season after tearing his ACL. Morgan will be starting again this year and we all certainly expect him to start living up to the hype he had coming out of college.

The Titans also recently added Kamerion Wimbley to start opposite of Derrick Morgan as a DE. Wimbley has split time between DE and OLB in the past with the Raiders and the Browns. The biggest question with him is if he’ll be able to be an every down player. In college he played as a 4-3 defensive end but his smaller size resulted in him being shifted to mainly playing OLB in the NFL. If the Titans feel as if he can play big role for them, they may wait to draft a DE till the third or even fourth round, looking for someone they can put in rotation at DE.

If they do go that route, there are a lot of places they could look to spend that pick. Safety Mark Barron will likely still be there, as well as CB Stephon Gilmore. There could also be some interesting offensive choices available, such as OG David DeCastro or some different WR’s. Some intriguing DT’s could also be hanging around. There are a lot of different ways the Titans could use that pick. I don’t think anyone can truly guess where they’re gonna go with it.

Wise guess would be defense.
