This may have been one of the longest weeks of my life. Ever. It’s nearing the end as Peyton Manning just finished his meeting with the Tennessee Titans. In total, he spent over seven hours with them and it had the appearance of Manning taking a physical inside, as the Titans team doctor arrived at the facility while Manning and company were meeting inside. He also left just before Manning.

Titans Dr. Elrod just left facility. Fan yelled: “How was the physical?” No response.

The most interesting part of this is that during Manning’s six hour visit with the Denver Broncos, there wasn’t a sign of a physical like there has been with the Titans (though I fully expect the Broncos gave him one). The race has been said to be between the Denver Broncos and the Tennessee Titans. It appears to be the case as he spent a lot of time with both teams and now has to weigh his options, as he has no more scheduled visits I’m aware of.
I fully expect to hear his decision by the end of Friday, if not Thursday. The sooner the better.
It sounds as if Mario Williams is waiting on Manning’s decision as well. The Titans were expected to be a big player for Mario Williams before Bud Adams went Peyton Manning crazy. The Buffalo Bills are offering Williams bookoo bucks, but he has pressed the negotiations another day further. It also sounds like he plans on visiting other teams.
For the Titans sake, I hope so.
DE is especially thin, both on the Titans team and in free agency/the draft, at least in terms of top-tier difference makers.
We just gotta wait on this whole Peyton Manning ordeal some more. Hopefully he makes his decision tomorrow, instead of dragging it out to Friday. I can’t take much more.
