I am sad…

Very, very sad. And this hurts. This hurts very, very bad. Seeing so many opportunities blown makes me question so many things right now. My own mere existence even. There was nothing I could do but continue to lose my voice, and keep drinking beer. Even as I’m typing this, I’m getting upset. All that I can say right now is that this has been the most fun I’ve ever had following a team, and as painful as this is, they don’t say “there’s always next year” for nothing (whoever “they” are). I’m gonna take some time to heal, but I want to thank each and every one of you (you know who “you” are) for reading, writing, criticizing and offering advice along the way. It just should have ended differently…

Feel free to “vent”, like U-Turn, here over the next couple of days if you like. Maybe it’s about a cheap shot that the Ravens (allegedly) took on “Twitch” (causing him to leave the game for good. I still haven’t cared enough to see it, but I’ve heard). Or maybe it concerns some terrible officiating. Or it might be about, yet again, a few questionable coaching decisions made by Tennessee. Whatever it is, this is your safe place. We’ll get through this together.

Kellen, congratulations. I won’t give you any more than that, because you still know who the better team is, but congrats nonetheless. I hope the death that becomes you will be long and painful. Seriously, I mean that.

Over the next week or so, we will have a year in review, we’ll discuss the rest of the playoffs as they unfold, and we’ll also have a big “thank you” post to all of the wonderful people that have helped contribute to this blog since we signed on to run it last summer. But just because the Titans’ season is over doesn’t mean that we’re gonna go away until the draft or training camp. This will be a huge off-season for the Titans (do we sign Haynesworth?, what happens with Collins?, will Jim Schwartz be back with the team? And that’s just the tip of the iceberg…) so while we continue to follow that, we will also be talking about other things as well. Predators hockey. Sounds baseball. Major League Baseball. Vanderbilt athletics. Musical dance club. The works.

Basically, I’m asking all of you to keep reading this blog. Keep talking sports. Keep talking sports with us. And keep supporting your local sports, wherever you live. Keep your chins up Titans’ fans, because better days are ahead. But most importantly, keep on keepin’ on.

Best post of the year in my opinion. This season was a hell of a ride, exactly the shot in the arm Nashville needed in reviving its love for professional football and most notably, the Titans. Take pride in knowing you guys helped contribute to that. As long as you guys are running the show, I’ll be reading. We’ll be back…

Well said FatAl. Really enjoyed everything that Titansized brought to the fans.

I just wanted to say a few things about the game yesterday:

    1) I want to give the Ravens credit for winning, they did come in and get the job done. That being said,
2)Please don’t try and tell me that the delay of game call didn’t matter. ( I know the Titan’s had 3 turnovers, a missed field goal, and a plethora of penalties) but the GAME WAS TIED!!! We weren’t losing by a touchdown or a field goal. Take the Ravens back 5 yards and see what play they call on 3rd and 7 from there own 29. They were 3-13 on third down.
    3) Another stat I wanted thrown out there
    Ravens penalties: 8-40
    Titans penalties: 12-89
thought this was a home game for the Titans
Thanks guys and I can’t wait until next season

Don’t know that we need to take this so hard.   My thoughts all along this year was that  we didn’t consistently play like a Super Bowl team . I am Proud!!!  We will be back and in better form! I have enjoyed  Titansized. You guys are awesome and right on!!

While I sat in disbelief at the end of the Titan’s game, I do have to say that I always laugh every time I log on and read your posts. Thanks for the time you spend doing the site and I look forward to reading whatever you guys write up or the obscure sites and videos you find.

  • Oilers Forever

Just another playoff choke, just like this franchise always did when it was in Houston. I guess you can take the Oilers out of Houston, but you can’t take the Oilers out of the Titans.
