5 Tennessee Titans make NFL.com top 200 fantasy players for 2020

Five Tennessee Titans players have made NFL.com’s list of the top 200 fantasy football players for the 2020 season.

The Tennessee Titans had three major fantasy football assets during the 2019 season, but a grand total of five players from the team have made the list of the top 200 fantasy football players for the 2020 season by NFL.com.

The three obvious choices were running back Derrick Henry, wide receiver A.J. Brown and quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Also included in this list were wide receiver Corey Davis and running back Dion Lewis.

Here’s where NFL.com’s Michael Fabiano ranks each of those players, which is based on PPR scoring.

6. Derrick Henry (RB6)

36. A.J. Brown (WR15)

122. Ryan Tannehill (QB17)

135. Corey Davis (WR54)

173. Dion Lewis (RB63)

One glaring omission from this list would be tight end Jonnu Smith. The 24-year-old had his best season as a pro in 2019 with fellow tight end Delanie Walker on the shelf and his arrow is definitely pointing up.

Fabiano ranked 22 tight ends on his list and Smith should have been one of them, as he finished last season as TE20 overall. Smith is also likely to reclaim a starting role next season with Tennessee potentially cutting Walker, so he should build on where he left off.

Despite not catching a lot of passes, Henry was the No. 5 back in PPR and No. 2 in standard. What makes those rankings even more impressive is that he missed one game at the end of the season.

From Week 7 on, Tannehill was the third-best fantasy quarterback in the entire league and became a viable starting option after starting off the year as Marcus Mariota‘s backup.

Brown was another player who came on strong as the year progressed. The Ole Miss product was the No. 3 receiver in PPR from Week 12 on, a span that saw him total 100 yards or more in four of six games.

Both Davis and Lewis were extremely disappointing during the 2019 campaign. Neither one was a viable fantasy starter, and Davis in particular, who was expected to be the Titans’ No. 1 receiver, took a clear backseat to Brown.

While Brown and Davis are under contract for 2020, both Tannehill and Henry are currently set to become free agents, although both are expected to be brought back in some way, shape or form, whether that be with the franchise or transition tags, or a long-term deal.

Lewis will likely be playing elsewhere in 2020, as he’s a prime candidate to be cut by the Titans during the offseason after his lackluster showing in 2019.
