Isaiah Mack, DT

Tennessee Titans UDFA and defensive tackle, Isaiah Mack, had a big game in Preseason Week 2. The Chattanooga product posted four tackles (one solo, one for loss), and recorded the only Titans sack in the game.

Here’s a look at Mack’s sack, courtesy of Titans Film Room on Twitter:

The 6-foot-1, 299-pound tackle didn’t just record a sack here, he simply dominated the New England Patriots’ left guard on the play. Mack flashed great hands en route to shedding this block and getting to Pats backup quarterback, Brian Hoyer.

To see a rookie make an impressive play like this is encouraging to say the least, and moves like this should have the Titans taking notice. Tennessee finished tied in the middle of the pack in sacks last season and is looking for defenders who can improve the pass-rush, whether that be in the starting lineup or off the bench.

Although he’ll have fellow defensive tackle Jurrell Casey in front of him, Mack could provide depth behind the All Pro defensive lineman. The more we see of Mack, the more it seems he’s carving out a place for himself on the 53-man roster.

Plus, there’s nothing more we’d like to do than use the nicknames “Mack attack” or “Mack truck” throughout the 2019 regular season.
