The NFL Scouting Combine 2013 is here and the Tennessee Titans, as well as the rest of the other 31 teams will be watching and evaluating the participants over the next week in one of the final evaluations before the NFL Draft to see if they’ve got the tangibles the teams think they’ve seen on tape. Here’s five of the guys the Titans will be watching :

October 13, 2012; Columbia, MO, USA; Alabama Crimson Tide offensive linesman Cyrus Kouandjio (71) and offensive linesman D.J. Fluker (76) and offensive linesman Chance Warmack (65) talk during the first half at Faurot Field. Alabama won 42-10. Mandatory Credit: Dak Dillon-USA TODAY Sports

OG Chance Warmack, Alabama

Warmack could be the solution to the Titans offensive line woes if they swing and miss on Andy Levitre in free agency. Warmack is the consensus best interior lineman in the draft. He’s certainly on the Titans radar. Warmack will workout Saturday when the offensive linemen are scheduled to have their workouts.

September 22, 2012; Gainesville FL, USA; Kentucky Wildcats guard Larry Warford (67) and guard Zach West (75) block against the Florida Gators in the second quarter at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

OL Larry Warford, Kentucky

If the Titans miss Warmack or decide to pass on him, Warford is the next best option and should be available to them in the 2nd round. There’s been talk of the Titans having interest in Warford, which isn’t terribly surprising. He’s a good O-lineman and they’re known for not taking linemen in the first round of the draft. He’s a big-bodied lineman, clocking in at 6’3, 332 lbs. Like Warmack, Warford will be working out Saturday.

Nov 24, 2012; Tallahassee, FL, USA; Florida State Seminoles defensive end Bjoern Werner (95) celebrates after recovering a fumble during the second half of the game against the Florida Gators at Doak Campbell Stadium. Gators defeated the Seminoles 37-26. Mandatory Credit: Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

DE Bjoern Werner, Florida St.

If the Titans feel comfortable with their offensive line situation after free agency, Warmack is gone, or Werner slides to the Titans at the 10th pick, they’ll be tempted to add him to their rotation with Derrick Morgan and Kamerion Wimbley. The Titans need more production from their DE’s and more DE’s in general. Werner is one of the top guys in the draft and certainly peaks interests due to the fact that he resembles the Texans’ DE J.J. Watt with his swatting production. Werner will definitely be under the Titans microscope. He works out Monday with the rest of the defensive lineman.

December 28, 2011; San Diego, CA, USA; Texas Longhorns safety Kenny Vaccaro (4) and cornerback Adrian Phillips (17) react after sacking California Golden Bears quarterback Zach Maynard (15) during the second quarter in the Holiday Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

SS Kenny Vaccaro, Texas

The Titans have brought in veteran safety George Wilson for a visit, but who knows what he’ll decide on. His agent is visiting with teams at the combine as we speak. Vaccaro is the best safety in this draft. That’s a fact. Say Werener and Warmack are gone by 10, the Titans could shock everybody by reaching for Vaccaro. If a need is filled, it’s hard to be upset. They could also look to trade back if Werner or Warmack is on the board and they want them. Trading back would give them additional picks and let them grab Vaccaro. His coverage skills would be huge to a Titans defense that saw it’s backfield scorched all season. He’ll be working out Tuesday with the rest of the defensive backs.

Jan 02, 2013; New Orleans, LA, USA; Louisville Cardinals running back Jeremy Wright (28) is tackled by Florida Gators defensive back Matt Elam (22) as his helmet comes off during the second half of the Sugar Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. defeated Florida 33-23. Mandatory Credit: Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Sports

SS Matt Elam, Florida

Should the Titans wait till the 2nd round of the draft, they’ll most likely be looking at grabbing Elam out of Florida. He’s the hard-hitting safety of the class and is generally looked at as the 2nd best safety in the draft. Elam, like Vaccaro, will be working out Tuesday with the defensive backs.

The Titans are undoubtedly watching other players at the Combine, but this is a good picture of the top-5 guys they’re watching.
