(I chose “NO: Too Many Good Players Who’d Still Help Titans at No. 10.” Here’s the 4/22 poll).

62.04 percent: NO

It’s nice to have two first-round picks. The New York Jets earned that right when they traded Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the No. 13 pick and a conditional third or fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. The Jets will enter the draft with picks No. 9, No. 13 and No. 39.

This has created concern among Tennessee Titans enthusiasts. They’re aware that the Jets have similar needs. Now that the Jets have pick No. 13, they have more flexibility with their No. 9 pick. They could feel more comfortable using that pick on either Chance Warmack or Jonathan Cooper. They could use their picks on Dee Milliner or Kenny Vaccaro. The Titans may want to address needs at all of those positions.

Approximately one-fourth of fans believe that the Jets will do something that won’t affect Tennessee, possibly doing the dumbest thing imaginable (other than Ryan Nassib at No. 8). According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, tight end Tyler Eifert may get drafted within the 12-25 range. But if the Jets were concerned that the Miami Dolphins would take him at No. 12, then the Jets could use No. 9 on Eifert. I mentioned the Jets because they needed playmakers even before they lost Dustin Keller this offseason.

For the Tennessee Titans, Eifert at No. 9 is a dream scenario. They’re not spending their No. 10 pick on a tight end. The Titans are helped whenever any quarterback, running back, wide receiver, offensive tackle or linebacker is drafted in the top 9. That creates more choices at offensive guard, defensive line and defensive backfield.

Fans shouldn’t have too much concern. This isn’t a one-and-done deal where the Titans’ draft is ruined if they don’t get a certain player. There are many players who can help this team. Management has to find the best talent who will excel in their schemes.

Revis Island has been captured. Tim Tebow and his gang of circus clowns were no match for the ruthlessness from a gang of buccaneers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers completed their thievery when they traded the No. 13 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and a 2014 third or fourth-round conditional pick to the New York Jets for Darrelle Revis. Along in that process included a new six-year, $96 million contract that includes no guaranteed money.

Are you a Tennessee Titans enthusiast who has no interest in either of these franchises or the Darrelle Revis trade? Don’t let that prevent you from understanding the impact that this could have on the Titans. This trade could have significant implications on the Titans’ draft and regular season.

The Jets have picks No. 9, No. 13 and No. 39 in this draft. The Titans have picks No. 10 and No. 40. Each team has similar needs. These needs include cornerback, offensive guard, wide receiver and safety.

Any chance that Dee Milliner had of falling to No. 10 just took a major hit. Now that the Jets have lost three-fourths of their starting defensive backfield from last season (LaRon Landry, Yeremiah Bell and Revis), they’ll almost certainly take either a safety or cornerback with one of their first three picks. Jets head coach Rex Ryan’s defense is predicated on having at least one cornerback who controls his side of the football field.

Enjoying that ride on the Chance Warmack bandwagon? Even before Brandon Moore departed via free agency, the Jets needed to fix their offensive line. Now that they have the flexibility of two picks in the top 13, the Jets could feel more comfortable taking an offensive guard in the top 10. If that scenario played out, Jonathan Cooper would almost certainly remain at No. 10.

From what I’ve seen from fan mock drafts, many Jets fans are expecting the No. 9 and No. 13 picks to net them a combination of Tavon Austin and either a quarterback (Geno Smith) or defensive back. If the Jets used their No. 9 pick on either a quarterback or wide receiver, then that’s a best case scenario for the Titans. That shouldn’t affect their draft board in the slightest.

Another helpful (yet very unlikely) scenario would happen if the Jets were desperate enough to trade up for somebody. According to the trade value chart, packaging No. 9 (1350 points) and No. 39 (510 points) would equal the No. 4 pick (1800 points) and No. 117 pick (60 points). Would the Jets trade into the top 5 for a quarterback or anyone else they liked? If so, it could reduce their amount of top 39 picks from three to two.

What about No. 40? Let’s assume the Titans and Jets don’t take an offensive guard with their first-round picks. If Larry Warford, Brian Winters or Justin Pugh were available at No. 39, the Jets may consider that as good value. So if the Titans are banking on a second-round guard, then things just got murkier.

Let’s fast forward to the 2013-14 regular-season schedule. In Week 4, the Titans host the Jets. When these teams met in Dec. 2012, Darrelle Revis was sidelined with an ACL injury. Once again, Jake Locker won’t have to deal with Revis on one side of the field. The No. 9 and No. 13 picks will only have three games of NFL experience on their resume.

Consider this another curveball that adds to the uncertainty of the 2013 NFL Draft. Knowing the circus known as the Jets, they’ll do the most unconventional and unpredictable thing imaginable with that No. 9 pick.

As Titans fans, how do you feel about the trade? Any concerns whatsoever? Answer in the poll below.

The Tennessee Titans are prepared to enter free agency with approximately $19.4 million in available cap space. They’ll use some of that money on draft picks, extensions and possibly a franchise tag. Jared Cook and Rob Bironas are among the free agents who’ll demand the highest price tags.

Talent is needed on defense. Mike Munchak implied that with his loyalty toward Jerry Gray, a defensive coordinator whose team surrendered 471 points this past season. Moving Chet Parlavecchio from special teams assistant to linebackers coach won’t fix every problem. The “Uncontrollable points” argument goes so far. Every team deals with that.

This defense needs a defensive end with double-digit sack potential, an interior run-defender, strong safety and depth. They could use an offense that controls the clock and starts them in better field position. These players must produce against good offenses, not just the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.

Speaking of the Jets, they’re reportedly pursuing trade offers for cornerback Darrelle Revis. Revis could become a free agent after the 2013-14 season. At age 27, Revis doesn’t fit into the long-term plans for the Jets. They want younger impact players.

What about the Titans? Jason McCourty, Alterraun Verner and Coty Sensabaugh are a solid group. Are any of them shutdown cornerbacks? Adding a shutdown cornerback would allow Verner to move back to nickeback. With Revis, a good cornerback group suddenly becomes top five, if not the best. Furthermore, the organization could use his star power.

How much would it cost to relocate Revis Island into the Cumberland River? There’s about 900 miles that separate East Rutherford and Nashville. Sports Illustrated senior NFL writer Peter King tweeted this on Jan. 24:

Jets would want a 1, at least, for Revis. He’d want franchise-QB money in this flat-cap era, coming off ACL surgery. Good luck with that.

That’s somewhat tempting when one considers recent first-round picks from this franchise. Since 2003, those players include Andre Woolfolk, Adam “Pacman” Jones, Vince Young, Michael Griffin, Chris Johnson, Kenny Britt, Derrick Morgan, Jake Locker and Kendall Wright.

What’s not tempting is the financial risk. Revis does have baggage. He’s coming off a torn ACL. He’s very vocal about his contract and has previously held out.

Nnamdi Asomugha was a cornerback who received much praise before he joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011. Amidst many new defensive coordinators, Asomugha hasn’t thrived in their defense. After two seasons, the Eagles may give up on the 31-year-old defensive back.

There’s no guarantee that Revis would excel in Gray’s system. Normally, receivers get lost on Revis Island. However, with the lack of end-rushers and defensive backs playing off their targets, those receivers may escape while Revis drowns on his own island.

Risk or not, Ruston Webster must ask. I mean, we’re talking about the Jets. Who knows what they’re thinking. They thought giving Mark Sanchez a long-term extension was a good idea. Maybe they’re gullible enough to believe that Kenny Britt will fix Sanchez. They do need a wide receiver. Wouldn’t Britt love to play for a franchise that’s 30 minutes outside of Bayonne, New Jersey?

If Revis would agree to a reasonable extension, is he worth Britt plus picks?
