Take a deep breath Tennessee Titans fans, Eric Decker isn’t on the roster…yet.

Tennessee Titans fans got excited this morning when news spread that Eric Decker was visiting the team.

The free agent wide receiver has left the Titans facility without a contract.

Now, this doesn’t mean that the Titans aren’t interested in Eric Decker. In fact you could argue that they are clearly interested as is Decker.

Adam Schefter had a lot of tweets today about the potential signing, including this one:

Decker’s wife is a musician so the heart of country music had some obvious appeal to her.

Also, Eric Decker was shown around the facility and visited with GM Jon Robinson and Head Coach Mike Mularkey on the sidelines of practice today.

During that time he also had a physical with the Titans doctors, so it is fair to say that this is more than just putting out feelers on a guy.

This is a move that would be a luxury for the Tennessee Titans. Eric Decker has the potential to be a very valuable asset for a team like Tennessee, but they aren’t without starting wide receivers.

Rishard Matthews, Corey Davis, Taywan Taylor and Tajae Sharpe are all on the roster. Two of those players would have to sit if the Titans signed Eric Decker.
