Time to show some more respect to the GOAT, Jon Robinson for his early work with the Tennessee Titans.

Some of you don’t remember what it was like. Just about 16 months ago, this offense was in shambles.

Sure the Tennessee Titans had their most important piece in Marcus Mariota, but what else did they have?

More from Titans Draft

I did some digging, and I couldn’t believe how much the Tennessee Titans had improved in such a short amount of time at the skill position. It is fairly remarkable what Jon Robinson has done in less than a year and a half.

I know some of you may still be skeptical, but look at what the team looks like based on the Ourlads depth chart from right before Jon Robinson to now.

2015

WR: Kendall Wright

WR: Justin Hunter

WR: Dorial Green-Beckham

TE: Delanie Walker

RB: Bishop Sankey

RB: Dexter McCluster

Notes

-Those 3 wide receivers averaged just 25 catches this year.

-Those 2 running backs only gained a combined 2 yards on 3 carries this year.

The difference between then and now is staggering. There is no position you can make an argument is even slightly weaker than it was when Jon Robinson was hired.

Not only has he revamped the skill position, but we all know how well he has done with the offensive line. That unit is now one of the undisputed top-5 groups in the NFL.

If you need yet another feather in Jon Robinson’s cap, look no further than this comparison the next time you need to explain why Tennessee Titans fans are so excited to have this guy calling the shots.
