It is the most exciting time of the year for NFL fans. The NFL Draft is upon us and there are rumors galore surrounding every NFL team.

This year it seems like the NFL Draft is going to be the hardest thing to predict outside of the first overall pick. Although stranger things have happened. In 2006, everyone said Reggie Bush would be drafted first overall and he was not. That is what makes this fun though. We actually have no idea what will happen come Thursday night all the way to Saturday. No first round Mock Draft will be completely correct and the draft gets wild. If all things go how the “experts” say it will the Tennessee Titans will be looking to improve at the Wide Receiver, Cornerback, and Safety positions. Those are definitely needs for the Titans and luckily this draft is filled with high impact players at each of those positions.

More from Titans Draft

According to Peter Schrager’s of Fox Sports mock draft, the Titans will trade the 5th overall pick the the Cleveland Browns for the 12th overall and 33rd overall pick in the draft. This honestly would be a great trade. With the 3 picks in the top 33 picks he has the Titans drafting, Safety Malik Hooker (12), Wide Receiver Mike Williams (18), and Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (33). Look at that if that happens the Titans will have hit all of their needs with three high picks. Now the names you may not agree with, but if the Titans can get a deal like that it will be worth it.

The Power of the Quarterback

Luckily for Tennessee, they do not need a quarterback in this draft. Many teams will be looking to trade to the number 5 spot to get a quarterback. This is where Jon Robinson can fleece another team by getting two first round picks. Just remember how the Titans received the fifth overall pick this year. They made a trade last year with the Rams to trade down from Number 1. Teams are always looking to make a splash at quarterback and the Titans have a great spot to draft one. If they can manage to get a teams 2017 first round and 2018 first round pick that would be excellent. These are all ideas that Jon Robinson needs to focus on during the draft this weekend.

Build a Dynasty

Remember, Robinson comes from the New England Patriots school of thought. It seemed like for the longest time the Patriots would always trade down to acquire more picks in the draft. The idea that the more picks equals more opportunities to get quality players is the way the Titans need to act moving forward. There are going to be draft busts throughout the draft, but if you cast a wide net there are more opportunities to catch lightning in a bottle. The theme of this whole off-season is to trust in the process and trust in the idea that Robinson is trying to build something great in Nashville.
