Bringing you the best bits of news or information about the Tennessee Titans that has circulated around the internet during the week.

Oh, so you thought because the Tennessee Titans’ season was over that this type of article would stop. No siree! The “end of week notes/links” will continue its legacy well into the offseason and for eons to come. Probably not, but let’s see what we had to talk about this week.

We really need to get a few cornerbacks in the offseason. By way of free agency or the draft, it doesn’t matter. We just need to throw anything at the wall and see what sticks, because we missed the playoffs for a couple of reasons, and one main one was the cornerback play. That said, LeShaun Sims is the GOAT. As is another member of an impressive 2016 Titans rookie class, Kevin “Big Things Poppin'” Byard (I made that nickname up).

Murray had a fantastic first year in Tennessee, finishing third overall in rushing yards and tied for eighth overall in rushing touchdowns. Murray will turn 29 in February, meaning he has at least two more good years left in the tank. With Derrick Henry surely taking on a bigger role as soon as next season, the Titans are set at running back for a while.

I was critical of Dick LeBeau for a lot of 2016, but he really wasn’t given the array of defensive talent needed to have much success. With another offseason for GM Jon Robinson to fix the holes on defense, LeBeau should go into 2017 (possibly his last year) with much more talent at his disposal.

More from Titan Sized

Speaking of Robinson, all signs are pointing to his phone line being extremely open before, during, and after the draft. While the Titans have the 5th and 18th overall picks, they are missing a second rounder this year due to last year’s Jack Conklin trade-up (it was worth it). Considering the dearth of talent that will be available throughout this year’s draft, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see the Titans trade down from the 5th pick. In doing so, they can get a mid- to late- first round pick and pick up a second rounder in the process. If Robinson likes many available options, then there’s no reason to force himself into picking a player who might have equal value on his board with a high pick instead of later in the round. I’m ecstatic to see how Robinson works the draft for the second year in a row.
