Tennessee Titans fans have seen two weeks of the preseason, so it is about time to really start figuring out who will be on this team’s final roster.

More from Titans News

Before you say anything, I know that the bottom 4-5 players on this roster face a lot of uncertainty due to the Jon Robinson preparing to be active on the waiver wire. However, these are the players on this team that I believe will make the cut before waiver claims.

With the final roster very much in flux let’s look at my projection and some notes.

    Notes:

-Aaron Wallace is the only draft pick to not make this list, and that is a combination of two things. First, Nate Palmer have had very good camps and figure to be special teams players as well. Second, his injury really cost him time and they aren’t sure when he is going to be full speed which makes it a risk to keep him.

It would almost be better for everyone involved if they could get him on I.R. to let him heal from that ankle injury instead of rushing him back.

-The Titans end up keeping 6 WRs on the final roster thanks to some swing players on the OL. Tre McBride edges out Justin Hunter who just hasn’t made the impact he needed to stay on this team.

-Harry Douglas and Karl Klug largely made this team because they were OSPY winners, meaning that Mike Mularkey thought they had a great offseason and that they are dependable.

-The Titans only kept 3 TEs because they are easy to come by in the middle of the season, and because I think in a pinch Jalston Fowler could play one of those spots.

-Dennis Kelly, Jeremiah Poutasi, Quinton Spain (T/G), and Brian Schwenke (C/G) all play multiple positions on the line which can allow the Titans to keep 9 on the team while still having good depth.

-Antwaun Woods makes the team as an UDFA thanks to his flashes against the run. I think he and Woods are the true nose tackles on the team and guys like Angelo Blackson and Austin Johnson can move around the line for added depth.

-I expect the Titans to bring in a new CB for the final roster, but right now those are the players the team has. It is probably the weakest position on the final roster, especially if Jason McCourty can’t stay healthy.

-One player that is rising up my list of people to keep is Marqueston Huff. I don’t think he is great, but he gives the Titans versatility at CB and safety and I could see them making a move to get a specialist and keeping him as a special teams player who won’t be active on game day.
