Off-season workouts are a vital time of the season for a team to come together and lay the groundwork.

The overall mood from Titans camp has a different feel to years past, with an increased physicality and focus. Let’s take a look at what some of the players had to say.

Kendall Wright

On new faces in the huddle ” You know it’s just makes you smile, having two big backs who can get a lot of yards, and big guys up front that can block. It just opens up things we can do with the play action pass.”

Avery Williamson

A different feel to the team- ” Yeah definitely a different feel. I just feel like the talent level is increased.”

On Jason McCourty- ” Yeah it’s great to have him back. He’s our vocal leader, it’s great to have him in the room with us, and as long as we have him out there I think we’ll be good.”

Weapons on the offensive side- ” It’s great, it’s exciting to have guys on that side of the ball that can move the ball. Also on the defensive side it makes you work even harder cause we know we got to be the best. When you pick up someone like that (Demarco Murray) it picks up the work ethic.”

About giving Demarco Murray his number- ” I’m good with it. I’ve known him a long time. He didn’t give anything. Number don’t make you, so if it makes him feel better and play better I’m all for it. I can play in anything.”

Brain Orakpo

On Dick Labuae calling plays- ” oh yeah, more blitzes, more blitz patterns. Everyone gets more involved at getting after the quarterback.”

On Kevin Dodd- “oh yeah, I think he’s really gonna be good. He’s got a lot to learn obviously, from going with his hand in the dirt to being up right seeing RBs, WRs, and everything, but he’s got his head in the play book and I think he really is gonna be good.”

Technique- “that’s the biggest thing. I tell the rooks, don’t come out here stressing cause everybody know, you either make the team or you don’t. OTA’s is all about technique and learning the plays, and learning what you can do in the defense.”

On making the playoffs- ” Yeah that’s the biggest thing. Every year I come in saying we should be able to make the playoffs.”
