As the Tennessee Titans look to generate more power on defense, it seems that they’re specifically eyeing the backfield. With players like Alterraun Verner gone, it’s no wonder the team is making this a point of focus before training camp looms on the horizon.
But who is Drayton Florence?

You may last remember him in a Carolina Panthers uniform. Florence, who has been in the league since 2003, isn’t exactly a spring chicken. However, he had two interceptions last year with the Panthers and 26 tackles, showing that he can still be productive if need be. Whether anything will come out of this meeting between the two parties has yet to be seen.
That being said, this probably won’t be the last of the Titans’ interviews with defensive players as they look to fill in more holes. On offense, there are even more issues to address now that the power house, Chris Johnson, is in a New York Jets uniform. Can the Titans pull off a winning season without a top-tier running back (and wide receiver, for that matter)?
The wait for answers continues.
