Last year, the Titans’ playoff hopes were dashed due to a season-ending injury to quarterback Jake Locker. After a lengthy recovery process, it seems that Locker is ready to work with new head coach Ken Whisenhunt to exceed expectations this year.
Last year, Locker only managed to rack up 8 touchdowns before getting hurt. One could argue that this was overshadowed by the 4 interceptions he recorded as well — but despite his shortcomings, Locker showed flashes of greatness. Fans are hoping that this carries over into the new season.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Locker and the Titans. Whether the young quarterback sticks around, it’s worth seeing what he has left in the tank while he’s in Tennessee. Don’t call him a bust until he has a fresh start and a chance at redemption.
