Could this be any indication of the season ahead?
The Tennessee Titans have lost a number of key players this offseason, but two who have remained are wideouts Marc Mariani and Kendall Wright. While Mariani spent last season on the IR, Wright had an opportunity to shine – 94 receptions and 1,079 yards last year made him a household name. Now, it will be up to these two to make the offense productive without Chris Johnson in the backfield.

While on the topic of offense, it’s worth noting that quarterback Jake Locker will be back at the helm, attempting to make a name for himself with the little time he has left in Tennessee. Locker presumably isn’t the Titans’ quarterback of the future now that the franchise has declined his fifth year option, but this doesn’t mean he’s out of a job yet. It will be up to him to lead the offense to at least a winning season, and Mariani and Wright will be his right-hand men.
It may be hard to find something to get excited about in terms of the offense, but offseason predictions are often blown to pieces once the regular season kicks off. Anything can happen in Tennessee, and the new faces who have been brought into the organization have a good feeling about the future. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a fresh start?
