Stoney Keeley:

The Cowboys need a ton of help on defense, but no hole is as glaring as the one at defensive tackle. Dallas is void of playmakers on the defensive line.

Enter Aaron Donald. He’s fast. He’s versatile. He’s a perfect fit for the Dallas Cowboys, and given his upside, is a steal at No. 16. The former Pittsburgh Panther would be starting from day one.

Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida State (1)

Scotty Bakalian:

The Cowboys lost key pieces of their defensive line through free agency this offseason. They struggled against the run last season and are now in a position where they have to upgrade the front seven. Defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan could be the first step in the right direction. With OLB Anthony Barr and DT Aaron Donald likely off the board by the time No. 16 is up, the Cowboys go ahead and pair Jernigan with newly acquired DT Henry Melton.
