You’re the first mock drafter I’ve seen have the Bears take Fuller. Not a bad pick, but I don’t think he’s worth the 14th selection. If they traded back a bit first and got him, I’d be thrilled.

    • Joshua Huffman

This draft is full of players who appear like fringe top-20, top-30 talents. For teams drafting around 11-20, it’s a great year to *try* and trade back, acquiring another mid-round pick. I’ve noticed a lot of fans saying the same things.

      • Erik Lambert

It will depend on who is available when the Bears pick and whether a team wants to jump up to get them.

  • Justin Graver

What about Greg Robinson at 11? I know Oher plugs the whole at tackle- for now. But he’s really a mediocre player at best and Roos is getting up there in age. I could see them going with Robinson

    • Joshua Huffman

It wouldn’t completely shock me. It’s very good value. He just kept falling down in my mock because of the pass-rush extravaganza toward the top 12. However, drafting an offensive tackle and letting him sit on the bench for a season or two is usually reserved for mid-round or late-round projects.

Titans pick is hardest to project. So many ways they can go. I’ve got Ebron at No. 11 but I’ll admit that it’s way too high for him. I don’t see them letting Khalil Mack or Anthony Barr go if either slides to 11.

The problem with having the No. 11 pick in this draft for TEN is that I’m not seeing anyone as a major Year 1 Contributor. Almost everyone would be a rotational piece (Barr, Ebron) or backup (Robinson). I’m hoping they can trade back. If not, you can’t rule anything out (except RB or interior OL at No. 11. No way they do that).

Wow, you just pretty much suggested Oakland goes full retard in the 1st. Donald is a solid player, but 5th pick, that would be insane, especially with Watkins available.

    • Joshua Huffman

Reggie McKenzie was gonna take DJ Hayden at No. 3. He passed up on Lotulelei & Richardson for a project cornerback with tons of red flags. Al Davis or not, Raiders rarely ever follow public logic (nor do their first-round risks ever pay off). I’ve almost come to expect them to take Martavis Bryant over Sammy Watkins at No. 5. Almost.

      • Phillip

Haha, it’s insane, but it’s true.

      • Phillip

If you get every pick wrong in this mock, i sure do hope you got pick 21 right.

        • Joshua Huffman

Hopefully. Packers and Titans are my favorite teams so I know it’s hard to predict what TT is thinking. But it sounds as though Micah Hyde will start at safety. They just took Datone Jones last year so I’m not seeing another first-round DE like Hageman. None of the NTs are worth 21. Many experts say they need TE but Quarless is perfect for getting that ground game going. Use Bostick for the passing game. They don’t use first-rounders on offensive skill-position players (love the idea of Brandin Cooks with Aaron Rodgers though). So that leaves me with C.J. Mosley, Ryan Shazier, Kyle Van Noy or a trade down.
