Matias Wodner:

Mack is one of the most explosive players in this draft. Add him to a defense filled with young stars, and Lovie Smith may have one of the best defenses in football next season. Paired along with Lavonte David across from him and Gerald McCoy on the line, this may be just what the Bucs need.

William Oberst:

The Bucs front office deserves a definite round of applause on how they handled free agency.  They signed elite talents with the likes of Michael Johnson, and Alterraun Verner on the defensive side of the ball, signed Josh McCown who Lovie Smith has already named his starting quarterback for 2014, and released Darelle Revis and his hefty contract to free up cap space.  Well done Tampa Bay.  This now allows the Bucs to take the best player available.  Khalil Mack is being mentioned as the next Lawrence Taylor.  If he falls to the Bucs at 7, that would be an absolute steal for a player who is going to have a bright future ahead of him.
