Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Wouldn’t it be nice if for once he was on our side? Titans fans know Jones-Drew perhaps as well as anyone that isn’t a Jaguars fan. He has always terrorized the Titans defense, no matter the year, and has been one of the most consistent running backs in the NFL for several years.

I know what many of you are thinking: he’s gonna be 29 years old and he just averaged 3.4 yards per carry last year. The yards per carry are an absolute anomaly, as Jones-Drew was hit in the backfield probably more than any other running back. Our offensive line would create more space for him to carve out yards. As for his age, I still believe he has two or three good years left in those tree trunks that he calls legs, especially since he has only carried the ball 310 times the last two seasons. Not to mention, he can actually pass protect, which would be a welcome addition here in Nashville.
