From Tennessee Titans official website, here are two statements on the future of head coach Mike Munchak:
Tommy Smith, President/CEO
“I said all along that we would review every aspect of the football operations at the conclusion of the season – in early January. Today I sat down with Ruston and Mike and we discussed every coach and player on the roster. We had good discussions, but no final decisions were made.”
Ruston Webster, General Manager
“The three of us (Webster, Smith, Mike Munchak) met all day today in Houston. We had a good conversation in regards to the team and moving forward. Nothing final has been decided at this point, but we hope to have a decision soon.”
Previous tweets from Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean suggest that the team will keep Coach Munchak for another season. The team itself hasn’t made any final decisions. I’d have to agree with all the media pundits and bloggers who believe that the longer this drags out, then Munchak’s chance for staying will increase. Dragging this out any longer than this weekend is just unfair to Munchak and puts the team itself in a bad situation.
Shortly after those statements were released, Wyatt posted the following tweet:
As reported earlier, #Titans plan to bring Mike Munchak back for 2014. Munchak will have to meet conditions, but expected to happen

What those conditions are? Anyone’s guess. There’s a lot of work to complete even after the decision on Munchak has been made.
