The 2013-14 NFL regular season has come to a close. What’s next for Tennessee Titans enthusiasts? Take a look at the upcoming 2014 opponents. Below is a schedule that features all of the home and away opponents. These are just the opponents. The schedule ordering won’t come out until late April, maybe early May.
Who knows how this schedule will turn out. Who would’ve thought that a December matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers would’ve featured a 3-9 Falcons team and a Packers team with a fourth-string quarterback (Matt Flynn)? How many people predicted a 9-0 start for the Kansas City Chiefs? It’s far too early to predict schedule difficulty.
One reason to love this schedule when compared to the 2013 version: noon kickoffs. The 2013 season featured too many 3:05 and 3:25 kickoffs. Blame that on having to play the AFC West and NFC West divisions. In 2014, the Titans’ only western conference opponent is Kansas City. Next season, if Tennessee has afternoon kickoffs, then they’re playing playoff-caliber football.
No San Diego Chargers. That’s nice. I’m tired of playing them. Of course, playing at Arrowhead Stadium isn’t an easy task.
