2014 NFL Draft Order: Tennessee Titans Will Pick No. 11

Winning these last two games won’t do much to damage the Tennessee Titans in their quest for a high draft pick. With a 7-9 record, the Titans have clinched the No. 11 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft order. Below is a list of the 10 teams who pick ahead of them

1 Houston Texans
2 St. Louis Rams (from Washington Redskins)
3 Jacksonville Jaguars
4 Cleveland Browns
5 Oakland Raiders
6 Atlanta Falcons
7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
8 Minnesota Vikings
9 Buffalo Bills
10 Detroit Lions
11 Tennessee Titans

The 2012-13 edition of the Titans earned the No. 10 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. That came after a 6-10 season.

Two of the Titans’ top rivals (Texans, Jaguars) will draft in the Top 3. These teams will have a chance to add a franchise quarterback, Jadeveon Clowney, Jake Matthews or another highly rated player. With the No. 11 pick, the Titans will have a great opportunity to add an impact player who should become a Week 1 starter during his rookie season. If Mike Munchak stays, don’t expect that pick to go towards a quarterback.

Keep an eye on potential trade-downs. The Titans traded their third-round pick from this draft when they traded up to draft Justin Hunter. If Tennessee wants to recoup that pick, maybe they trade down.

Many different ways to approach this No. 11 pick. Just one of many decisions that this team must make in an attempt to end this 10-year playoff win drought.
