Those above poll results feature the 2014 NFL mock draft results from Josh Sanchez’s mock draft from one week ago. With the No. 12 pick, Sanchez had Brett Hundley going to the Tennessee Titans. My question was whether Mike Munchak would remain as the head coach. If Munchak stays, then a first-round quarterback becomes very unlikely. A new head coach may want his own man, especially if the team can’t acquired Jay Cutler.
Above are the results. Approximately one-fourth of respondents were completely against drafting the sophomore quarterback. It looks like not everyone has given up on Jake Locker, at least not yet. Most respondents didn’t feel he was worth the Top 15 pick. While 32 percent claimed that he was worth that high of a draft choice, 25 percent voted that he wasn’t worth a first-round selection. Another 17 percent would’ve been fine with that decision had the team drafted him within the 16-32 range.
So many options, however, until this team decides on what they’re going to do with the coaching staff and front office, it’s impossible to project how they’ll handle the quarterback situation. Drafting a quarterback, signing a free agent, or keeping the status quo with what they have now are all possibilities.
Tomorrow, Titan Sized will cover the latest mock draft choice from Sayre Bedinger. His pick may surprise you…
