Tennessee Titans: Recap, Studs, Duds, Grades vs Indianapolis Colts

Dec 1, 2013; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (12) is sacked by Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey (99) at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indianapolis defeats Tennessee 22-14. Mandatory Credit: Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Jurrell Casey (5 Tackles, 3 Quarterback Hits, 2 Tackles-for-Losses, 1 Sack)

Entire Defensive Line Plus Zach Brown (Dominated Line of Scrimmage)

Brett Kern (Six Punts, four of which were downed inside the 20-yard-line)

Leon Washington (A returner who doesn’t fumble and gets it beyond the 20-yard-line? Yeah!)

Andrew Luck was under constant pressure. It would’ve been great had George Wilson and a few other defenders made plays on potential turnovers. While the Colts had three fumbles, the Titans recovered none of them. The Titans fumbled once and it was the momentum-shifter of the game. Some teams just get the breaks.

Special teams…gasp…played well! Kern and Washington both put this team in respectable positions. The Colts were backed up inside their own territory. Washington returned one punt deep inside Colts territory, although there may have been a block in the back.

The Titans dominated the trenches. Unfortunately, they didn’t capitalize on their opportunities. Robert Mathis forced a fumble and the Colts immediately score three points, taking a 15-14 lead. The Colts never relinquished that lead.
