Week 12 involves a pivotal matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders. Normally, two AFC teams with 4-6 records wouldn’t have much hope for a playoff berth. They’d find themselves sunk at least two games behind whoever controls the No. 6 seed.

That’s not the case this season. The Titans and Raiders are both one-game behind the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins (5-5) for that final playoff berth. The Jets and Dolphins are far from unbeatable and could easily finish with a .500 record (8-8), maybe worse. If the Raiders or Titans could put together a string of victories (5 of 6), they have a strong chance to end their postseason droughts.

The Titans have lost five of their last six games. Before that losing stretch, there were many fans who had assumed that Oakland was about as close to an automatic win as they could get. While fans remain confident, it’s obvious that there are no such things as guaranteed victories, at least not in the Mike Munchak era.

Whose playoff hopes remain alive heading beyond Thanksgiving? In this interview, Titan Sized editor Joshua Huffman will ask his six questions about the Raiders. Visit Just Blog Baby (Go) either later tonight or tomorrow as editor Chase Ruttig asks his questions about the Titans.
