Titans vs. Seahawks: Studs, Duds, Grades & Reaction for Tennessee

Oct 13, 2013; Seattle, WA, USA; Tennessee Titans cornerback Alterraun Verner (20) tackles Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (24) during the 2nd half at CenturyLink Field. Seattle defeated Tennessee 20-13. Mandatory Credit: Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

Defense (First Three Quarters)
Ten points allowed in the first three quarters. That 55-yard reception to Marshawn Lynch just seemed to rattle them. That, and Fitzpatrick goes right out and gives the game away when he enters hero mode. They wore down a bit at the end.

Bernard Pollard, Alterraun Verner, Jason McCourty (who had the special teams touchdown), Jurrell Casey…all had solid performances.

Kendall Wright
It wasn’t a phenomenal performance, but Wright had five receptions for 69 yards. He was about the only bright spot on the offense. Good to see Wright progressing into a halfway decent option.

We made The Seahawk’s crowd non-existented for almost the whole game and the best part about that whole game is we shown that are defense is no joke. It would be silly not to re-sign Greg Williams in the off season!

This brings up the hypothetical: if someone offers Williams a DC job, do Titans keep Williams and fire Gray?

      • Modesto Koczwara

I think it would be in The Titans best interest to fire Gray if there is an opening for a DC job because we already know what Gray tried to do and failed..

Wow, I never knew Jerry Gray was the DB coach for The Titans their glory days! The whole problem with Jerry Gray being the DC is I think he either tried to stay old school or bite off more than he can chew.
