It's Time for Kenny Britt to Go

Kenny Britt was drafted 30th overall in the 2009 draft by the Tennessee Titans. Since then, Britt has had an up-and-down career. In 2013, everything has gone haywire . The Titans must cut him loose either by trade or release. He is a cancer to this Titans’ receiving core. From going on Twitter and ranting about how he won’t get re-signed, dropping balls and getting penalties, I do not want him on this team.

He is letting this whole organization down and it’s time to cut the cord. The Titans drafted Justin Hunter for this sole purpose. They knew they weren’t going to re-sign Britt and wanted another big receiver on the outside. I applaud the organization for doing so but they need Hunter to become more involved in the passing attack. We have seen flashes but only two catches so far.  Adding Hunter with weapons like Kendall Wright and Nate Washington will make Britt dispensable.

I know this sounds ludicrous, but I have a feeling Britt is doing this on purpose to get released from the team. The Twitter rant made me think this, and now with all these drops and penalties, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second. The guy has so many arrests and run-ins with the law, I don’t know how he’s even in the league. He just hasn’t been the same since all the knee surgeries.

It’s time to go. If the Titans get even a sixth or seventh-round draft pick out of this whole thing, then I will be happy.

What could have been. Happy Trails, Kenny Britt!
