Running Backs

Don’t become too depressed with Chris Johnson’s 15 carries for 21 yards against the New York Jets. Remember how, in 2012, Johnson started four of his first five games with a combined 48 carries for 69 yards? Johnson has rushed for more than that in each of his other three games, two of which have come against respectable run-defenses (Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans).

Jackie Battle has already contributed more than Jamie Harper and possibly Javon Ringer ever did. When Shonn Greene returns, the Titans will have one nice crop of backs.

There’s room for improvement—but it’s headed in the right direction. I don’t give minus-grades. So consider this a very low B (80-81 percent).
