Week 5 of the 2013-14 NFL season. How many critics had the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans combining for a 7-1 record? Even with weak schedules, both teams have performed well when the masses picked against them. The Chiefs even won their Week 3 brawl against Andy Reid’s former employer, the Philadelphia Eagles.

It would’ve been great to see these teams punch it out at full strength. Unfortunately, Jake Locker will miss at least the next three games with a hip injury. Can the Titans hand the Chiefs their first loss? Only if Ryan Fitzpatrick—a nine-year veteran who started the past 3.5 seasons with the Buffalo Bills—can manage a ball-control offense with the support of a defense that’s top-10 caliber.

Here are some NFL picks vs spread for the Chiefs at Titans Week 5 matchup. All lines are from covers.com as of Oct. 2. The Chiefs are 3-point favorites. Over-under is 38.5. The Chiefs are 4-0.
