Tennessee Titans Hosting Sports Equipment Drive Before Jets Game

Tennessee Titans football isn’t the only—or most important—event happening at LP Field this weekend. Before their Sept. 29 matchup against the New York Jets, the Titans are hosting The Sports Fund’s “Play It Forward” equipment drive. Here’s more information about The Sports Fund and what they accomplish in Middle Tennessee. According to their website:

As the Titans battle it out with the Jets in Nashville on Sept. 29, The Sports Fund will be on site at LP Field to collect your gifts of new and gently used sports equipment. Collections will be sorted and distributed to local nonprofits which fit our mission of providing team membership experiences to at-risk youth in the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee. THANK YOU Tennessee Titans!

ATTENDING THE GAME? Examples of what you can bring: baseball gloves, cleats and shin-guards, balls (volleyball, soccer, football, tennis, basketball), and more! NEW and GENTLY-USED!

From 12:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., fans can drop off their sports equipment at LP Field. Jets vs Titans is scheduled for a 3:05 p.m. kickoff. All times are Central Time zone.

Can’t make it to LP Field on Sunday? On Oct. 19, The Sports Fund will hold another event at Vanderbilt Stadium during a college football game between the Georgia Bulldogs and Vanderbilt Commodores. Here’s more information about that event. According to a press release, future hosts include the Nashville Predators and Nashville Sounds.

Enjoy the game and, if possible, help out a good cause for children. You can follow The Sports Fund on Facebook, HERE.
