Titans vs. Texans: Studs, Duds, Grades & Reaction for Tennessee

Zach Brown
A lot of people talked about how Akeem Ayers would evolve into the star of this defense. So far, Zach Brown has taken the spotlight. Brown had 12 tackles and was involved in some other plays that the stat sheet doesn’t show. He’s one of the biggest reasons for the turnaround from a defense that surrendered 471 points just one season ago.

Derrick Morgan
Here’s a player whose contributions don’t always show up on the sack column. Derrick Morgan had three tackles with three quarterback hits, two tackles-for-losses and a sack. Morgan was a huge reason for why Matt Schaub faced intense pressure for the first 57 minutes of that contest.

Randy Bullock
So what if he isn’t a Titans player? Texans kicker Randy Bullock missed all three of his field-goal attempts. They were from 50, 50 and 46 yards. Furthermore, Bullock missed one of his non-qualified kicks on an icing time out from Mike Munchak.

It’s worth noting that Rob Bironas missed one of his two attempts.
