RB Shonn Greene is sore but the injury isn’t serious. Munchak said he hopes he can play vs #Texans

We didn’t see nearly as much of Shonn Greene in Week 1 as we saw in the preseason. Now we know why. It was confirmed that Greene was enduring knee pain due to an injury in the second quarter. He left the game after just four carries, which is when Jackie Battle began to turn on the heat. Head coach Mike Munchak went on to say that his injury wasn’t serious.
The latest report on Greene is that he can walk under his own power. He also expects to play in Week 2 against the Houston Texans. One can only imagine that he’ll be limited. Somewhere out there, Chris Johnson is revving his engine.
This news is unfortunate for individuals who happen to have Greene in their fantasy leagues, whether he’s a backup or a starter. Keep an eye on Greene’s status throughout the week. We may see more of Battle or Johnson heading into game day, which is also something to think about in fantasy terms.
