Who are the best and worst teams from the AFC? The Denver Broncos made a convincing statement with the 49-27 victory over the Baltimore Ravens during the 2013 NFL Kickoff Game. Down 17-14, Peyton Manning led five touchdown drives in the second. Manning tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes. The new and restructured Ravens defense had no answer for Manning as he picked apart a defense as if he were playing rookie mode on a Madden game.

Were some “near-misses” enough to knock some of the top-tier teams down the rankings? Did upset victories or “almost-wins” help improve the perception on some teams?
