A list of keys to the playoffs for the Titans would not be complete without a section on Kenny Britt. The fiercely talented fifth-year receiver has been hampered by injuries each of the last three years, causing some to question if he has a future in the league. But Britt is entering a contract year and will need to put his knee issues behind him if he wants to sign a big contract next offseason.

The team has been searching for a true number one receiver ever since Derrick Mason left in 2005. Since then, The Titans have only had one 1,000-yard receiver in eight years (Nate Washington in 2011), although Britt probably would have reached the landmark in 2010 if he stayed healthy.

Despite all his upside, Britt has never caught more than 50 passes or gained more than 800 yards in a season so far in his career. That will need to change this season for the Titans to have any hope of making the playoffs.
