The biggest key to the Titans’ success on the ground this year will be Shonn Greene.

Let me explain.

Chris Johnson has already showed that he is ready to get back to business with his performance this preseason and there is little to no question that the revamped offensive line will get the job done in the running game this year. The only remaining question mark is Shonn Greene.

In order for Greene to help the Titans to the playoffs, he does not necessarily need to do well, he just needs to be used well. The Titans’ offense will suffer if he sees more than five or six carries per game, because he should not be used for anything more than third and one or goal line situations. As long as the coaches can keep Greene on the sideline and Johnson in the lineup, the running game, and the entire team, will prosper.
