Houston Texans 24, Dallas Cowboys 6

Aug 29, 2013; Arlington, TX, USA; Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt (99) on the sidelines during the second quarter against the Dallas Cowboys at AT

An efficient passing attack and a dominant ground game. Those two elements complemented a Houston Texans defense to a 24-6 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Case Keenum and T.J. Yates combined to go 17-of-24 for 237 yards with two touchdowns. Cierre Wood and Dennis Johnson combined to go 36 carries for 186 yards.

The Texans finished the preseason with a 3-1 record. They’ll open their season on the road against the San Diego Chargers. It’s the second game of a doubleheader. This means that the Texans will have one less day to prepare and rest for their Week 2 home-opener against the Titans.
