There are a couple semi-noteworthy names on that list of players whom the Tennessee Titans cut. Greg Jones spent some of his first season as a starter for the 2011-12 Super Bowl champion New York Giants. Barry Richardson was a signing whom some people believed would compete for one of the reserve offensive tackle jobs. That never came into fruition after David Stewart made a full recovery from his leg injury.

Those 13 cuts put the Titans at 77. While it hasn’t been officially announced, Kevin Walter will start the season on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). That would put the Titans at 76. Management has until tomorrow (Aug. 27) to make one more roster transaction.

UPDATE: Markelle Martin has been waived. Walter officially on PUP.

This puts the roster at 75. Players. Four days from now, 75 must become 53.
