Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) 13, New York Jets 37

Back-to-back blowout losses against AFC East teams not named the New England Patriots. What matters was that Blaine Gabbert completed 13-of-16 passes for 165 yards with a touchdown. Gabbert suffered a sprained thumb on his throwing hand. His main competition, Chad Henne, completed 4-of-10 passes for 30 yards with an interception. That’s the inconsistent Henne that everyone expects.

Justin Blackmon made his preseason debut. He led the Jaguars with four receptions and 46 yards. Denard Robinson had 11 carries for 29 yards. Jaguars were penalized 12 times for 100 yards. In two games, the Jaguars have been outscored 64-16.

Serious thought: if Titans No. 3 quarterback Rusty Smith were involved in this Jaguars quarterback battle, would he win it? Whoever wins it, hopefully Henne will start when they play the Titans. That’s seven freebie sacks.
