NFL predictions are so stupid. Yet, there’s a strange enjoyment that comes from reading and/or writing those fluff pieces. It’s fun to see how fans and experts view your team. How satisfying is it when your favorite team finished 11-5 after most experts had written them off during the preseason as a 5-11 team? Maybe you’re a masochist whose enjoyment comes solely from reading the hundreds of emotional comments. Something like this:

OMG you have (insert team here) finishing 10-6? Your so (insert straw-man technique here)! Their AT LEAST an 11-5 team you (insert insult here). Do you get paid for this “journalism?” This is why our country is going to HE11: becauz IDOTS like you reproduce and everyone votes for (insert name of President here) GAWD I HATE U (blah blah blah)…

What are critics saying about the Tennessee Titans? CBS Sports senior NFL columnist Pete Prisco gets much publicity whenever he predicts an entire regular season. On Aug. 14, that’s exactly what he did. Not only did he predict winners but he predicted the outcome of every game from Week 1 through the Super Bowl. He has the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XLVIII.

One thing that stands out: Prisco doesn’t like the AFC South. He has the Indianapolis Colts and Titans both finishing with 7-9 records. The Houston Texans win the division with a 10-6 record. They fail to defend their home turf when the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat them during the AFC Wild Card.
