Houston Texans 27, Minnesota Vikings 13

Enjoying a highly impressive preseason debut was the Houston Texans. T.J. Yates and Case Keenum combined to go 26-of-39 in a 27-13 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings held a 13-10 halftime lead. The Texans outscored them in the second half 17-0.

First-round rookie wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had four catches for 52 yards and a 34-yard touchdown reception. Terrell McClain had five tackles with three quarterback hits and 2.5 sacks. Earl Mitchell had four tackles with three tackles-for-losses and a sack. Shiloh Keo and Eddie Pleasant each had an interception. Those interceptions came off starter Christian Ponder and backup Matt Cassel.
