Tennessee Titans Writers Wanted

Do you love Tennessee Titans football? Are you an opinionated individual who’d like to have your voice heard?

At Titan Sized, new talent is always welcome. Whether it’s writing an article about breaking news, an in-depth article about stats, or an opinion article—we do it all.

Check out some of our open positions, some of which are brand new:

Regular Contributors / Staff Writers
Contributors: All writers start off as contributors until they’ve proven that they can meet the weekly requirements. Excluding June – July, all contributors should submit a minimum of one 300-word article per week. During June – July, those requirements are softened to once every other week.

Staff Writers: Successful contributors receive promotions to staff writers. The big difference between contributors and staff writers are the submission requirements and express publishing privileges. Excluding June – July, all staff writers should submit a minimum of two 300-word articles per week. During June – July, those requirements are softened to once per week.

Fantasy Football Contributor / Staff Writer
Are you a fantasy football fanatic? Can you incorporate your knowledge into articles about the Tennessee Titans and any weekly opponent?

This is a new position that we’re looking to fill.  Requirements based on status as contributor or staff writer.

Draft Contributor / Staff Writer
Are you a college football fanatic who also enjoys the Tennessee Titans? Do you enjoy doing team/first-round mock drafts all-year round? Do you start targeting college players who’d fit on the Titans as soon as the college football season starts, maybe sooner? Enjoy scouting reports?

This is a new position that we’re looking to fill. Requirements based on status as contributor or staff writer. In addition, draft contributor/staff writers are expected to be involved in any site-wide mock drafts that are conducted from February – April.

Social Media Lurker
Can’t take your eyes off Twitter feeds or Facebook pages of other Titans players? Share some of the best tweets and messages. Requirements include one weekly piece.

Guest Spot (Non-Staff Position)
Want to get something off your chest but you’re not interested in a permanent staff position? Check out our Guest Spot.

Not Listed?
Maybe you have an idea for how you could contribute that hasn’t been noted? Titan Sized always listens for new ideas.

Of course, you can write as much as you want. Those are just the minimums that we accept at Titan Sized. All minimums and job descriptions are subject to change.

All writer positions are uncompensated; however, they provide the chance to be part of a team that’s all about the Titans. Writers have the opportunity to interview players and have links to their work shown on Sports Illustrated. It gives you a stage to preach your Titans opinions. Furthermore, it gives you the opportunity to start building a resumé, whatever job you’re interested in.

Promotions are possible. In January 2013, I joined Titan Sized as a contributor. Within three months, I was promoted to editor. Titan Sized is a good outlet to get your voice heard.

Serious applicants only. To apply, submit a sample article or your blog/freelance portfolio to [email protected] . Give some information about yourself and why you want to join our team. You can also apply via FanSided’s generic application. Here it is.

If you’re accepted, please be ready to have a Facebook, Twitter and Google+ account
