The Tennessee Titans have brought back kick returner Darius Reynaud on another one-year deal. Reynaud enjoyed a successful year as the Titans return man in place of Marc Mariani, who was place on IR after a horrific preseason injury.

It’ll be interesting to see how things play out between returners Marc Mariani and Darius Reynaud. Mariani had cemented himself as the Titans return man prior to his injury, but with Reynaud have a fairly decent season in 2012, the Titans may be faced with a choice between the two, with the loser also finding his way out of Nashville.
The Titans currently have 3 RB’s on the roster (Johnson, Greene, Harper) and 6 WR’s, depending on whether you count Michael Preston or not (Britt, Washington, Wright, Williams, Hawkins, Mariani). Those are the two positions that Reynaud is generally classified in. It’d be a tight squeeze for the Titans to have two guys who’s primary duty is returning the ball.
We’ll see. There’s plenty of time for that scenario to play itself out, seems as we’re only in mid-March and the final team cuts won’t come until the end of August.
It’s certainly a position battle to keep your eyes on though.
