The Tennessee Titans will be visited by the former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Sammie Hill today, where he is expected to sign before leaving.
Reported earlier Hill’s visiting #Titans Wed. The expectation is he’ll sign during his visit. He’s a 330-pounder who’s a good athlete

Hill is a big-bodied guy who, if signed, would be taking place of DT Sen’Derrick Marks, who hit free agency yesterday. The Titans have been working on getting bigger on the defensive line the past year, and Hill just makes sense.
I’ve heard only good things about Hill from Lions followers, who say he deserves a chance to start after having been stuck behind Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley in Detroit. Hopefully all those good things are true and the Titans do sign Hill.
The Titans were still gouged in the run game in 2012 and getting bigger on the line can only help them.
Hill is 26 years old and was a 4th round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The Titans have been liked with DTs in a few 2013 NFL Mock drafts, but if the Titans think as much of Hill as all the people I’ve been talking with, that could erase all possibilities of the Titans taking one in the draft.
Having already agreed to terms with OG Andy Levitre and TE Delanie Walker, the Titans are setting themselves up nicely for a draft where they won’t feel their hands force by need, allowing them a little more freedom to add players that they believe will be able to contribute in their first year at whatever position.
Things are getting good in Tennessee. Be sure to stay tuned in here as we keep you up-to-date on their moves.
