Titans Re-sign K Rob Bironas

The Tennessee Titans seem to be cleaning up their loose ends today at they have now re-signed K Rob Bironas to a two-year deal.

Bironas had one of the worst years of his career during the 2012 season and questions had arisen as to whether or not the Titans would re-sign Bironas or look to free agency or the draft to find a new kicker.

Bironas has spent his eight years in the NFL all with the Tennessee Titans and has never missed a game.

The Titans still have TE Jared Cook, DT Sen’Derrick Marks, and OL Fernando Velasco set to be free agents, though the Titans are expect to at least tender Velasco. They’re also supposedly still in talks with Cook, though I wouldn’t expect those to go anywhere as they are still too far apart on the numbers and are not likely to ever come to an agreeable number.

Teams can start talking to players set to be free agents Friday night at midnight, but free agency doesn’t officially open until Monday.

Congrats on the new contract, Bironas!
