Tennessee Titans: Mike Munchak To Stay

Much has been made recently over whether or not Mike Munchak will survive black Monday or not.  Some have even speculated that the way the Titans perform in their season finale will have an impact on whether Bud Adams starts over again or let’s Mike Munchak continue to steer the ship.  According to this post on PFT it doesn’t matter at all.

The news came from David Climer, which personally leaves the information less credible than had it come from Jim Wyatt or John Glennon.  It does make sense though.  Bud Adams doesn’t have time to start form scratch…again.

Many of you will be unhappy about this news and go ahead and throw in the towel for next year, but you have to keep in mind that there are at least 10 head coaches that have a high probability of losing their job this week as well.  How many viable replacements are there?  You may not like what you have, but it may still be better than the alternative.  Especially when the alternative is an unknown one.

Mike Munchak has little to do with the play calling and Bud Adams knows this I bet.

I think this game showed that the issue with the team is the Offense and its terrible play calling I think a new OC will help greatly this team needs to get CJ outside and get locker on the move and also improve the OL significantly… the Defense as the season went on started to play much better if they can limit the big plays given up by the secondary they will be fine and get very good fast because of the youth and speed… ST is good also… I would give Munch 1 more season to improve this team with a New OC….

Agreed. I hate to be against Dowell Loggains, but I really want Norv Turner. I’m also on the defense’s side. Add a good safety and some depth at DE and I think we’re in pretty good shape.
