The Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt continues to be plagued by knee problems at the end of his fourth season in the NFL. Britt hasn’t had a great season, but coming off a torn ACL/MCL, it’s somewhat expected. The problem is, half of his troubles this season haven’t stemmed from that or the offensive woes in general of the Titans, but from a knee that continues to suffer from swelling.
Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean was speaking to Kenny Britt earlier. Britt’s looking to end his frustration with his knees this off-season by seeing as many doctors as necessary:
He said after the season “I plan to see every doctor known to man” to figure out why his knees continue to swell and bother him….
But he said on Thursday he’s still frustrated with the knees, especially the left. He said he plans to see Dr. James Andrews as well as other doctors. He doesn’t think he’ll need additional surgery, however.
“The first two weeks (after the season) I am just going to rest,” Britt said. “I just got an MRI and they told me there was nothing wrong with my knee. But I am going to check with a couple of doctors across the United States to see what is going on.”
I don’t know if we’ll ever see an end to Britt’s knee problems. One has to hope so. The guy has the skill set to be great, but these injuries are destroying his career. If he could ever be healthy, he could be recording back to back 1,000 yard seasons.
Hopefully somebody can help get him right. It’s not easy to come across the talent he has.
Take care of those knees, Kenny. The team needs you.
