The Tennessee Titans continued their season long struggle as they were crushed by the Green Bay Packers. The Titans offensive struggles were the highlight of the game. Jake Locker took shots earlier on, mostly from announcers and Twitter. Behind the most makeshift line ever fielded, Locker crumbled, being unable to step forward into throws and because of that, throwing multiple picks.
Even when Locker wasn’t doing poorly, his receivers weren’t helping. One play that comes to mind is when WR Damian Williams had a pass tip off his hands and bounce right into a defenders hands. Blame was everywhere and mistakes were amplified due to the fact that the Packers blitzed nearly every play because they knew they could. One of the Titans biggest faults were trying to push the ball deep down the field often, instead of just looking to get short gains.
The Packers continued to look like the successful franchise they are, with Aaron Rodgers dodging sacks right and left and moving the offense down the field with ease, though often enough he didn’t have far to move thanks to the Titans offensive struggles.
Randall Cobb was a terror for the Titans, seemingly uncoverable. He sliced up the Titans the first half, until he suffered an injury on a return in the 3rd quarter.
The Titans faced another humiliating loss while the Packers continued their run to the playoffs. The Titans are still looking for answers, chief of which is whether or not Jake Locker is the future of this franchise and whether Mike Munchak will still be head coach come next season.
I still believe in Locker, but Munchak… I’m not so sure of.
FINAL SCORE: Packers 55 , Titans 7
